The central theme of the poem is to acknowledge the changes that occur in our life. Be peaceful and cherish each and every change that occurs in our lives taking the positive aspects of the change. One should admire nature and live life like it’s a new year every day. Past is like a painting that has gone with the trace of beautiful memories in our life and today is a new beginning.

While going through the poem I quite find it interesting. It’s a beautiful poem though knowing the hidden message might seem difficult. Interpretation of the poem was quite difficult as it has many meanings attached and a different person may have a different view.

Assimilation
The poem reminded me of the change in environment when New Year comes and how much I like the environment then. While going through the poem I could travel to the time of New Year where everything seems fresh and new. The poem took me to a different time period.
